AUTHOR Q&A WITH PAULA GREENLEES
Feb 27
We are delighted to announce that the Write Club will be welcoming Paula Greenlees on March 8 to talk about her thrilling debut novel set in post-War Singapore. JOURNEY TO PARADISE (Arrow Books, 2021) is described by Jenny Ashcroft as a "beautiful, immersive tale that will keep you turning the pages until the end".
AUTHOR Q&A WITH JM COBLEY
Mar 29
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome JM Cobley to talk about his long career in writing and about his powerful WWI-set debut novel A HUNDRED YEARS TO ARRAS (Unbound, 2021). Much food for thought about the way the publishing models available for authors is changing, with new opportunities and new challenges arising all the time.
NEW TERM BEGINS 3 MAY
Apr 10
Over the last 12 weeks we have workshopped fiction which has taken us from magical adventures for middle-grade children to the court of Napoleon Bonaparte, from mid-90s lad culture to a King Arthur for the 2020s, from a tale of a washed-up singer-songwriter in a down-at-heal seaside resort who might have one last chance, to French village outside Ypres in 1915... Along the way we've discussed the best way to begin a tale, the best way to find a voice, and the best way to hone what we've written so it really holds a reader's attention. And we've spoken to a couple of published authors who offered us real insights.
If that sounds like something you would like to be a part of, don't hesitate to drop me a line, either via the website or at mail@patrickkincaidauthor.com. Look forward to hearing from you.
